CDAFs help communities excel in a number of ways.  First, they provide a source of funds for community projects and for community organizations.  Second, because the funds are permanent, they help the community now and in the future.  And, they provide donors with a tax-deductible and convenient way to meet their charitable goals locally.  (It is important to note that CDAFs are not meant as a replacement for funding offered by the NCCF, they are merely a complement.)
